PREVENTION OF ARVI AND INFLUENZA
In case of contact with sick person and/or exposure to cold: in accordance with age-dependent dosage, twice a day for 5-7 days. If necessary, preventive course may be repeated. In case of single contact, one dripping is enough.
In case of seasonal rise of morbidity, in accordance with age-dependent dosage in the morning every second or third day.
It is recommended to massage the nose alae with fingers for a few minutes after dripping in order to distribute the drug in nasal cavity evenly.
Regimen with interferon alpha-2b + interferon gamma (intranasal administration). During the period of seasonal increased morbidity, especially, in case of contact with person sick with influenza or another ARVI, ALPHARONA® and INGARON® 2-3 drops of each drug into the nasal passages 30 min before meals once a day every second day for 10 days. In case the epidemic continues, preventive course will be repeated after 2 weeks interval. (Efficiency has been proven in the course of clinical studies performed in the specialized clinic of the State Institution, Scientific and Research Institute of Influenza of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, St.Petersburg, under the supervision of E.V. Esaulenko, M.D., and in the infectious diseases department with course of tropical medicine of the State Educational Institution for Higher Vocational Education "Saint Petersburg State Medical Academy named after I.I. Mechnikov" under the supervision of professor T.V. Sologub, M.D.)
Recommendations. For pregnant and nursing women, newborns and children under 7 years old, only ALPHARONA® should be dripped for prevention. When using ALPHARONA® simultaneously with vasoconstrictive drops, excessive drying of the nasal mucosa is possible.

TREATMENT OF ARVI AND INFLUENZA
Intranasally. Dissolve the vial content in 5 ml of water for injections.
In case of first signs of influenza or ARVI: for adults — 3 drops into each nasal passage 5–6 times a day (single dose — 3000 IU, daily dose— 15000–18000 IU), newborns and children younger than 1 year old — 1 drop 5 times a day (single dose - 1000 IU, daily dose — 5000 IU), children from 1 to 3 years old — 2 drops 3–4 times a day (single dose — 2000 IU, daily dose — 6000–8000 IU), from 3 to 14 years old — 2 drops 4–5 times a day (single dose — 2000 IU, daily dose — 8000–10000 IU) for 5 days.
Regimen with interferon alpha-2b (intranasal introduction). Interferon alpha-2b lyophilizate for preparation of solution for intranasal introduction (ALPHARONA®, 50 thous. IU) - 2-3 drops into each nasal passage 5 times a day for first 5-7 days of the disease (efficiency has been proven in the course of clinical studies performed in the specialized clinic of the State Institution, Scientific and Research Institute of Influenza of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, St.Petersburg, under the supervision of E.V. Esaulenko, M.D.).
